OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:
Jess Chason • Delaware
Harrisburg, Pa./Cabarrus, Jr., Setter
Chason led the Blue Hens to a 3-0 week at the Delaware Invitational and earned Most
Valuable Player honors after recording 10.80 assists per set. The junior setter also contributed
2.70 digs per set and helped guide an offense that hit .288 during the tournament.
Chason posted her second double-double of the season against Army after tallying 43
assists and 15 digs.
Ashley Jones • Georgia State
San Diego, Calif./Brookville (Va.), Jr., Outside Hitter/Right Side
Jones led the Panthers to the title at the Great 8 Volleyball Challenge hosted by Georgia
State. She earned co-MVP honors after scoring career highs in digs and earning her seventh
career triple-double. Jones’ triple-double came in the win over Presbyterian with 24 kills,
22 assists and 11 digs. The junior finished the week averaging 4.17 kills, 5.42 assists and
1.92 digs per set. She also posted a .366 attack percentage as the Panthers went 3-0.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Kelsey Bohman • George Mason
Scottsdale, Ariz./Xavier College Prep, So., Middle Blocker
Bohman guided George Mason to a 3-1 week and earned top honors at the Patriot Invitational
after tabbing career highs in kills, digs and blocks over the weekend. The sophomore
middle blocker made 11 total blocks against Cornell, which ranks tied for third in Mason
history, and finished with 22. Bohman finished the week with a .420 attack percentage
and averaged 2.19 kills and 1.38 blocks per set.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Danielle Erb • James Madison
Tampa, Fla./Plant, Fr., Outside Hitter
Erb earned All-Tournament honors at the JMU Days Inn Invitational and tabbed her first two
career double-doubles. She led the Dukes for the week in kills (3.50/set) to go along with
36 digs (3.00/set), five aces, five blocks and 4.17 points/set. The rookie has produced 13 or
more kills in five straight matches and recorded a season-high 16 digs against Hampton.
