INDIANA STATE SIGNS ANOTHER RECRUIT TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL FOR SYCAMORES
Sycamore coach Traci Dahl completes Class of 2010 with middle blocker/right side hitter
TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Indiana State volleyball coach Traci Dahl completed her Class of 2010 with the announcement that Alysse Hogan, a 6’-1” middle blocker and right side hitter from Seal Beach, Calif., has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Sycamores starting this fall.
“We are pleased to have Alysse join the program here at ISU,” Dahl said. “Alysse is very athletic and loves to compete. She plays for a well known club team in California and is getting some very good training before coming into college. I am looking forward to seeing her progress the rest of this club season and expect her to come in and be a positive contributor to the team. Her best volleyball is yet to come.”
Hogan played volleyball at Los Alamitos High School where she lettered for two years and was named the Most Improved Player as a freshman. She helped lead the team to two league championships (2008-2009 and 2009-2010) and helped lead this year’s team to the CIF Division I finals. She was also named a scholar-athlete all four years of high school. She has four years of experience playing for the 18-M team at the Cal Juniors Volleyball Club.
She plans to major in communication at Indiana State with plans on a career in public relations for an athletic team or business.
