UT Arlington Mavericks Volleyball Team Heads to TCU for Spring Tournament
ARLINGTON, Texas –
UT Arlington plays in its final spring volleyball tournament Saturday, April 17, at the TCU Tournament at the University Recreation Center in Fort Worth. The Mavericks tournament slate is highlighted with two matches against national powerhouse programs Texas and Florida State.
The Mavericks will be one of 10 teams in the tournament, which features four programs that competed in the 2009 NCAA Tournament. Each tournament match will consist of two sets to 25 points.
UT Arlington opens play at 9 a.m. against Florida State on Court 3. The Seminoles were the No. 3 national seed heading into the NCAA Tournament and finished the season 31-3 and with an Elite Eight appearance.
The Mavericks take on Kansas in their second match of the day at noon on Court 2 before playing 2009 national runner-up Texas on Court 4 at 3 p.m.
The Longhorns were the No. 2 national seed in the NCAA Tournament and finished their campaign in the national championship match against national champion Penn State.
