MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE PARTNERS WITH AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY FOR MAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
CLEVELAND, OHIO – The Mid-American Conference and the American Cancer Society have partnered for the 2010 MAC Volleyball Tournament Championship game as part of a conference wide initiative to raise the awareness of breast cancer.
The MAC Championship game will be held at the Toledo SeaGate Centre Saturday, November 21 at 3 p.m. A portion of each championship game ticket purchased through the American Cancer Society will be donated to their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. There will also be information booths on the American Cancer Society, a 50/50 raffle and recognition of breast cancer survivors during the game. Steinbrecher. “Our tournament is a wonderful celebration of our conference and the sport of volleyball and this partnership provides our conference family to join together to support such a wonderful organization. Like so many in society, our student-athletes and coaches have many family and friends that have been affected by cancer and we are proud to offer our services to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.”

The MAC is a Division I NCAA athletic conference based in Cleveland, Ohio. Nine of the twelve full member schools are in Ohio and Michigan, with single members located in Illinois, Indiana and New York. The MAC Volleyball Tournament is held each year at the Toledo SeaGate Centre. This year the tournament will run Friday, November 19- Sunday, November 21, with the top eight schools participating in Toledo.
