DAYTON HEADS TO OREGON, FACES PEPPERDINE IN FIRST ROUND
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Dayton women's volleyball team will travel to Eugene, Oregon for their first round match up with Pepperdine on Friday, Nov. 30 to open up the 2012 NCAA Division I Tournament.
The Flyers are 26-4 on the season and claimed both regular season and tournament championships in the Atlantic 10. Dayton went undefeated in the conference during the year at 14-0 and won both matches in the A-10 Championships.
Earlier this season, the Flyers defeated Pepperdine at home in the Flyer Classic, 3-1 on August 25.
Oregon and Northern Colorado are in the other half of the group with the winner facing the winner of the Dayton/Pepperdine match up.
Dayton heads into the 64-team tournament with a No. 13 ranking according to the AVCA Top 25 poll.
The Flyers will begin their trip Wednesday as they travel to the west coast.
The Dayton volleyball team as well as fans, athletic administrators, and supporters in the community were on hand at Ladder 11 restaurant Sunday to watch the Selection Show on ESPNU.
