PHILADELPHIA - The title match of the 2009 Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship, to be held on Nov. 22 at the Frericks Center on the campus of the University of Dayton, will air live at 4:00 p.m. ET on CBS College Sports.
“Showcasing the Atlantic10 Volleyball Championship on CBS-College nationally is a great opportunity for A10 volleyball the student-athletes, coaches and Institutions. We are extremely pleased that our partners at CBS have selected this Championship event and value the level of competition in the league,” states Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade.
The 2009 A-10 Volleyball Championship will feature six teams vying for the trophy and an NCAA automatic bid starting with first round action on Friday, Nov. 20. Seeds three through six will square off in the first round while the top two seeds earn a bye into the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Nov. 21. No. 24 Saint Louis is the defending champion and has won two of the last three A-10 crowns, while 2007 champ Dayton is currently receiving votes in the ACVA Top 25.
Tickets for the Atlantic 10 Women's Volleyball Championship will be available at the Frericks Center ticket office the day of the matches. A single day ticket may be purchased for $6 for adults or $3 for A-10 students, children 18 and under, and senior citizens. A three-day pass is available for $15 for adults.
