OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ASHLEY MELL, SOUTHERN MISS

Mell earned all-tournament honors following her performance in the Radisson-UCF Classic where she tallied 53 kills (4.08 KPS), 30 digs and eight total blocks including three solos. She recorded a career-high 28 kills against UCF in the team’s 3-2 C-USA opener. For the week, Mell totaled 61 kills for a 3.81 per set average, 39 digs and 11 total blocks with an attack percentage of .247. She added two double-doubles increasing her season total to four. This is Southern Miss’ first Player of the Week honor since 2003.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SIDNEY STEWART, SMU
5-10, So., L/OH (Houston, Texas)
Stewart led the Mustangs to a 3-0 week and the Doubletree Classic title. She was named Doubletree Classic Most Outstanding Libero after averaging 4.42 digs per set and recording a total of 53 over the three matches. Stewart played the final three sets against William & Mary on the front row and was able to record her first career-block in that match. This is Stewart second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor.
SETTER OF THE WEEK
KELSEA SEYMOUR, SOUTHERN MISS
5-9, So., S (Long Beach, Calif.)
Seymour earned all-tournament honors in leading Southern Miss to a second-place finish at the Radisson-UCF Classic over the weekend in addition to a 3-2 win over UCF to open C-USA play. For the week, Seymour recorded 18 kills with an attack percentage of .311, tallied 165 assists (10.31 APS), 56 digs (3.50 DPS), four total blocks, three aces and scored 23 points. She registered four double-doubles running her season total to a league-best 10. Seymour also dished out a season-high 60 assists against the Knights. This is Southern Miss’ first ever Setter of the Week honor.
