Learn to spike the volleyballs that the opposing team and everybody in the gym thinks you are going to “free ball” over.

outside or a little inside or a little off the net, take a strong hard approach staying behind the ball so you can see the court and the block, then spike it instead of giving the other team an easy ball that they can run a play against your team with.
