“I am excited to have Shelbi join our 2010 class,” said Green. “From the first time I saw Shelbi at a club practice last spring I was impressed with her athleticism and her competitive drive. I believe she can contribute to our team either as an outside hitter or as a middle blocker this fall.”
Goode, a 6-2 outside hitter and middle blocker from Georgetown, Texas, was a three-time member of the Georgetown High School varsity volleyball team. In 2009, she guided her squad to the Texas Class 5A State Semifinals. Goode brings with her an extensive list of accomplishments including twice being named to the District 165A First-Team. She led Central Texas in blocks in both 2008 and 2009 and is the current high school record holder at Georgetown in kills (462), blocks (122) and service aces (61).
In addition to her on the court achievements, Goode is also a two-time 165A Academic All-District honoree and was named to the Texas Academic All-State Team in 2009.
