Sophomore Volleyball Player Lindsay Enterline Added To Hoosiers Volleyball Team
"We are excited to have Lindsay join the Volleyball family," said Coach Dunabr. "She has already been in the IU family for two years, but this will be a new direction for her. In the time I've spent with Lindsay, I've been very impressed with her focus, passion and love for Indiana and am excited to start training her during preseason."
Enterline follows in the footsteps of Whitney Thomas, who also moved to the volleyball court after playing on the IU Women's Basketball team. Enterline, a six-foot outside hitter on the volleyball court, spent the past two seasons donning a Cream and Crimson basketball jersey. She played in 26 games, including one start, as a freshman in 2008-09 and averaged 1.5 points per game while shooting .400 from behind the 3-point line. A knee injury forced her to miss the 2009-10 campaign.
The Monroeville, Ind., native was a four-time letterwinner in volleyball, basketball and softball at Heritage High School. Volleyball-wise, she garnered all-conference honors in each of her four seasons and was named to the all-area team three times. Enterline left Heritage High as the all-time leader in kills, attack percentage, digs and blocks.
Enterline, and the rest of the Hoosier Volleyballers get the season started on Aug. 27 with a trip south for a three-match weekend at Georgia Tech. Indiana will face the Yellow Jackets, UAB and Alabama A&M while in Atlanta. Live audio broadcasts of ALL volleyball matches are available right here at IUHoosiers.com.
