Iowa State Cyclones Volleyball Team Takes Down Illini In Spring Action
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State Cyclones walked away from Saturday’s match with NCAA Tournament runner-up Illinois with a 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 25-15, 23-25) win in Bettendorf, Iowa. The teams were scheduled to play at least four sets in the best-of-five match.
Sophomore outside hitter Victoria Hurtt led the Cyclones for the third-straight match with 16 kills, followed by redshirt senior Rachel Hockaday who smashed 13 kills. Through three matches this spring, Hurtt has amassed 35 kills.
Middle blocker Jamie Straube had five blocks for the Cyclones and libero Kristen Hahn had a team-high 25 digs.
The Cyclones have the weekend off from spring action before making the trip to Centerville, Iowa to play Missouri at 5 p.m. CST on April 12.
