Radiance Digital Entertainment and Omniverse Games to Publish Online Games in North America
Beach Volleyball Online and Excalibur Online are the first titles to be announced under the agreement. Both are original MMOs developed by Radiance Digital Entertainment. Omniverse Games will oversee operations as well as provide marketing and customer support.
Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) March 5, 2010 -- North American gamers will soon be playing unique and innovative games from the studios of leading independent game developer Radiance Digital Entertainment. Excalibur Online will begin closed beta testing in March, with an official launch scheduled for April. Beach Volleyball Online will follow one month later. "When I first saw the quality and potential for these games, I knew we had to bring them to the English speaking world" says Jonathan Seidenfeld, CEO of Omniverse Games, "Both games fill niches sorely underrepresented in today's market."
"We are pleased with the support and dedication Omniverse Games has shown during the localization phase of development, and we are looking forward to seeing these games make a splash in North America" says Montgomery Singman, CEO of Radiance Digital Entertainment. While each of the games appeals to a different demographic, they both take advantage of the current demand for games representing new genres in the fast growing free-to-play online gaming space.
Excalibur Online is a browser based free-to-play massively multiplayer online real time strategy (MMORTS) game. Set in post Roman Britain in the years just preceding the rise of King Arthur and Camelot, players in Excalibur Online must collect resources and quickly develop new technology in order to build up their cities, maintain powerful armies, and try to unify Britain under their own rule. Of course thousands of other players have the same goal, so it's a never ending battle for resources and development. Players can enter into (and break) alliances with other players, get help from legendary heroes, and use magical special items to achieve their objectives. More information including screenshots and Closed Beta sign-ups can be found on the official Excalibur Online website as well as on our official Facebook Fan Page.
Beach Volleyball Online is a free-to-play Sports MMO. Players are immersed in an exquisite 3D world set in a lush beach side environment. The game incorporates the intense tactics and competition of real beach volleyball into a larger virtual world where players and their avatars can explore, socialize, and make new friends. BVO is one of the first true sports MMOs in that it features a large, stable persistent world, character development, exploration, and can be played however the player chooses to enjoy the game. Much more information including screenshots, videos, closed beta signups, and an introduction to the BVO community can be found on the official BVO website and on our official Facebook Fan Page.

Beach Volleyball News On The Net: Let The Sand Season Begin, Nivea Has The AVP "Seaing" Blue, ,
'Fresh Face' Baby Mama K. Walsh and Beach Volleyball Women To Watch
When you aren't spreading yourself thin with a Winter tour, then you have plenty of time to build a quality
product for fans and sponsors, increase community awareness and give back to all the
beach volleyball players that are the key components of your brand.
The AVP has been busy during these winter months.
First Things First the AVP Signed Two Years With NBC,ESPN and ABC
"The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour announced a broadcast agreement with ABC and ESPN to televise its events over the next two years. The agreement includes 13 AVP telecasts in 2010, four on ABC and nine on ESPN2. The schedule totals more than 19 hours of live HD coverage for the season, including the Tour Championship in Chicago, giving the AVP its most consistent television footprint ever. Coverage will begin with the Tour's season-opener in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., April 18 at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN."
The first event begins this weekend April 16 -18 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
“The entire AVP team has worked hard to create a schedule that promotes the strategic goals of the AVP and our Sponsors,” said Jason Hodell, Chief Executive Officer of the AVP.
“Locations were chosen for their volleyball community, large beach-going audience and commercial value for Sponsors. Successful outreach efforts to Volleyball Nation are critical to AVP success and we are excited about our 2010 programs.”
“This is a great day for the Sport of Beach Volleyball and a watershed day for the AVP,” said Jason Hodell, AVP CEO. “For a brand with the scale and resources of NIVEA to support the growth of Beach Volleyball is very exciting.”
My 2 cents!
I love NIVEA products, it's a brand I've used all my life and one of the few cosmetic brands I've habitually paid to buy and I think it's a name that people, especially women trust and theplayers, current and former seem to like the brand and the AVP deal (five years folks!) too.. I think this will make for a great partnership with good things to come in the future.
Okay here's my Nivea Trivia-What famous NFL's quarterback's wife wanted to be a pro beach volleyball player before becoming famous as a supermodel??
AVP Teams Up for Adoption
Okay so you may not have the endorsement money to sign a five-year deal with the AVP like NIVEA, but not all is lost. Now if your company wants to sponsor an AVP beach volleyball team you can pay $500 to "rent" two professional athletes for 48 hours because AVP Beach Volleyball Teams Are Up For Adoption This Summer Season. All proceeds go to the players.
Can I just say that those beach volleyball players who've had the forsight of marketing themselves--in one way or another--may have the upper hand. Great idea.
Let the Beach or Sand Volleyball Season Officially Begin!
Once a rookie, always a rookie? I think it's fair to say ALOT of eyes will be on the rookie team of Misty May Treanor and "new" partner Nicole Branagh.
...I think my first pregnancy spoiled me and now I’m like, where’d the love go. People are usually very kind, but yeah, a little personal space issues."
New York magazine's fashion editors for the "FUG Girls fashion" report that attendees at the Max Azria fashion show may not have known who 90210's Anna Lynne McCord was, but guests and attendees had no problems recognizing "beach volleyball superstar Kerri Walsh."

New Rule Changes Video on Touching the Volleyball Net
I think this is a great video that illustrates almost every possible scenario regarding the most recent indoor volleyball rule changes on how you can and cannot touch the volleyball net.

Rachel and Elaine "Reunited"
The first break up wasn't pretty... I was still in Cali and I remember all the fallout about the Paris and Klagenfurt events...
...but time heals everything and maybe the second time is the charm. (Okay, that's two cliches for the price of one, how's that?)
The Hot Stove aka Hans Stolfus reports that Rachel Wacholder and Elaine Youngs will reunite to play together this season. This interesting "new" development occurred apparently as the result of Kerri Walsh's second pregnancy which resulted in Misty May Treanor teaming up with Nicole Branagh. Stay tuned for "As the Beach Volleyball World Turns..." or as Stolfus puts it the continuing saga of the world of "volleyships."
Nice word you invented H.S. "volleyships" I think I'll continue to use it, with appropriate credit given of course..
