UNLV Volleyball Team News: Program To Hold Six Camps This Summer

LAS VEGAS – The UNLV volleyball program has scheduled six camps this 

summer dedicated to boys and girls ranging from elementary through 

high school students. 

The camps are specialized for either individual and/or team instruction. 

They are scheduled in a two-week time frame from July 19 through 

August 1, and focus on skill instruction, team drills and also allow for 

competitive play. 

The “Middle School” and “Team” Camps begin on July 19. 

The “Middle School Camp” (10:00 am to 3:00 pm) ends on the 21st and 

is intended for students between the sixth and eighth grades and 

includes lunch. The “Team Camp” (5:00 to 9:00 pm) is for high school 

teams only and features a competitive format with nightly scrimmages. 

The “All Skills Camp” is third and runs from July 22-24 (10:00 am to 

3:00 pm) with lunch included. 

Both the “High School” and “Little Rebels Camp” take place on July 26-28. 

The “High School Camp” is for those in grades nine through 12th and will 

also emphasize position training. 

The “Little Rebels Camp” (5:30 pm to 7:00 pm) is for youngsters between 

the third and fifth grades and will teach the basics of the game. 

The sixth and final camp is the “High Performance Camp” that will run 

July 29 to August 1. The camp is setup for those in high school 

(ninth through 12th) and can be a commuter or overnight experience. 

The camp focuses on footwork, body and ball control and emphasizes an 

offensive and aggressive style of play. The commuter portion includes 

lunch and dinner, while the overnight includes three meals a day.
