USA Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball Championships Get Underway June 26 on Surfaces Provided by Sport Court®
48 Courts totalling 165,000 square feet will go into Miami Beach Convention Center. "Volleyball has grown with advent of Sport Court playing surface."
Miami Beach, Florida (PRWEB) June 21, 2009 -- The USA Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball Championships will be played here from June 28 through July 5 on surfaces once again provided by Sport Court®.
Forty eight playing courts totaling 165,000 square feet are being provided by Connor Sport Court International for the 30th annual event.
"We are happy to be celebrating our 20th year as an official partner with USA Volleyball" said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International, the Utah-based manufacturer of sports surfaces. "Our experience with championship events through the years has greatly assisted in the development of market-leading sport surfaces".
This year's championships will be held in the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Because of Sport Court's development of the athletic modular playing surface, volleyball events like this can be played under a single roof.
Before Sport Court partnered with USA Volleyball, an event like the USA Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball Championships would have required many different venues on many kinds of surfaces. Now a consistent series of playing surfaces can be put in place on a single site.
"It makes the games more exciting and the team spirit bonds the players, leading to greater interest and participation in the sport," said Cerny.
Sport Court's Response™ playing surface is a state-of-the-art engineered polymer surface, which has Lateral Forgiveness ™ for player safety while at the same time providing the resiliency needed in this fast-moving sport. Connor Sport Court engineers have constantly developed and improved this court system to make it the official choice for volleyball organizations the world over.
About Connor Sport Court International More athletic events are played on Connor Sport Court surfaces than on any other sports flooring in the world. Connor sports floors have established themselves as the standard for professional and collegiate sports since the company was founded in 1872. Sport Court® is a registered trade mark of Connor Sport Court International. Since 1974, it has identified the original and authentic modular sport surface, continuously improved and patented to provide the highest levels of quality and performance.
