Florida Atlantic Sand Volleyball Team Finishes 7^th at UNF Invitational

Marras Tate and Pizzocheri Finish 5^th in Gold Bracket

                                                                                                                 

BOCA RATON, FL (April 2, 2012) – The Florida Atlantic sand volleyball team finished 7^th at the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville over the weekend.

            The finish was based on the FAU’s combined record in the pool play portion of the tournament. The Owls finished just a game behind the host Ospreys for sixth place.

            Once the tournament moved into the elimination phase, the Owls represented themselves well, with Chandler Hatton and Sara Stoll advancing to the semifinals of the bronze bracket, while Joanne Marras Tate and Alessia Pizzocheri finished fifth in the gold bracket.

            FAU will continue its spring schedule will travel to Deland, FL for a tri-dual match with Stetson and Florida on Saturday, April 6.
